Instructions for Speakers

The ICAME conference is highly interdisciplinary. Most of the sessions (except on Monday afternoon) are plenary sessions. Please dedicate the fi rst minutes of your talk to a basic introduction that is understandable for colleagues who are not directly working in your fi eld.

The duration of the talks is as follows:

- Tutorials (on Sunday) are 40 min, including discussion.
- Invited talks are 30 min, including laptop setup and questions.
- Contributed talks are 20 min, including laptop setup and questions.

The lecture halls will have LCD projectors ( = beamers). Each lecture hall will have a laptop computer provided by the organizers that runs under Windows 7 with Office 2013. You are invited to transfer your talk to this computer and run it from there. Alternatively, you may bring your own laptop computer. In any case, please make sure that your talk runs properly on the respective laptop/beamer configuration by testing this before your session starts. Please contact the technical personnel and/or chairperson in the lecture hall at least 30 min before your session starts to make sure that your slides are presented properly.

The beamers that are provided have SXGA+ 1400 x 1050 (Lecture hall ESA-A) and WXGA 1366 x 768 (Lecture hall ESA-B) interfaces. If you have a higher resolution laptop, please adjust it accordingly. The connector is a standard VGA-style connector. If you have a Macintosh computer that needs an adapter, please do not forget to bring it !!
